Freedom

John 8: ³¹To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. ³²Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Jesus offered them freedom, but many preferred to live in slavery. Why? Who knows? Maybe because people would rather enjoy painful lives filled with sin. Maybe the right road seems too tough. Possibly obedience is a characteristic that most would rather live without. Either way- when freedom was offered, the people chose slavery.
