According to an article by NASA scientists, Chile's 8.8 earthquake may have changed the rotation of the earth on its axis. Because of this, days may be shorter in the future. I don't know if this is all true, and I definitely tend to be a skeptic when scientists talk about the earth. However, this information does lend itself to the question, "If an 8.8 can change the earth's rotation, what about 9? What could a 10 do?"As I sit here thinking about this massive world that we live in, I can't help but consider the hugeness of God who can in an instance, shorten days and change the course of the earth. The same God who brought Egypt to its knees with bugs, can bring Chile or even us to our knees with sliding plates and fault lines. We should never forget God's awesome power, whether to change, or to build, or to destroy.
